Videre er det viktig \u00e5 utbedre og ta vare p\u00e5 de veiene vi allerede har. N\u00e5r vi n\u00e5 ruller vi ut nesten 1 million tonn asfalt p\u00e5 riksveier over hele landet, er det i tillegg en mer klimavennlig asfalt enn tidligere som blir brukt, sier samferdselsminister Knut Arild Hareide.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Statens vegvesen starter arbeidene med \u00e5 asfaltere om lag 1000 km riksvei i mai, og vil vare til september. N\u00e6r 1 million tonn asfalt skal legges p\u00e5 riksveiene i l\u00f8pet av sesongen. Det er for det meste reasfaltering av lengre strekninger, og enkelte steder m\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 fundamentet forsterkes f\u00f8r nytt dekke kan legges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Klimakrav i alle kontraktene<br><\/strong>I kontraktene for asfaltarbeidene er det lagt vekt p\u00e5 CO2-utslipp, i tillegg til kvaliteten p\u00e5 asfalten. Dette er det tredje \u00e5ret CO2-utslipp vektes av Statens vegvesen ved tildeling av asfaltkontrakter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Det er bra for milj\u00f8et \u00e5 ta godt vare p\u00e5 de veiene vi allerede har. N\u00e5r vi i tillegg kan vi asfaltere p\u00e5 en mest mulig klimavennlig m\u00e5te, er det enda bedre, sier Hareide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Asfaltdekket blir stadig bedre<br><\/strong>Hvert \u00e5r m\u00e5ler Statens vegvesen den s\u00e5kalte dekketilstanden p\u00e5 alle riksveiene. Dette sier noe om kvaliteten p\u00e5 veien, som spor og jevnhet i asfaltdekket. Dette avgj\u00f8r hvilke veier som f\u00e5r ny asfalt hver sesong. I 2016 var dekketilstanden p\u00e5 riksveiene p\u00e5 90,5 prosent. I l\u00f8pet av 2021 beregnes den \u00e5 komme opp p\u00e5 93 prosent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Denne regjeringen har satset mye p\u00e5 \u00e5 forbedre veiene v\u00e5re de siste \u00e5rene, b\u00e5de med \u00e5 bygge nye, gode veier, men ogs\u00e5 gjennom vedlikehold.
