Country Comfort ble startet v\u00e5ren 1987 av en vennegjeng i Tistedalen ved Halden. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Av: Olav Nyg\u00e5rd<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I en del \u00e5r opptr\u00e5dte bandet i kirker og bedehus og etter hvert kom det ogs\u00e5 foresp\u00f8rsler om \u00e5 medvirke i andre typer arrangementer. Bandets besetning er Karl Fredrik Dahl, Jan-Erik Karlsen og Torfinn Johansen. Fra f\u00f8rste \u00f8yeblikk ble det Nashville country stilen som ble kjennetegnet. Stilen har man beholdt selv om repertoaret spenner fra tradisjonell country, countrygospel til andre kjente sanger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repertoaret er bredt sammensatt, og favner fra tradisjonelle\u00bb bedehus-klassikere\u00bb og amerikanske country-gospels, til sanger fra Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, The Everly Brothers, Willie Nelson til Alan Jacksons gospel-materiale. Dessuten synger Country Comfort sanger fra Curt Petersen\/Roland Lundgren og Aage Samuelsen.
